- $25.00 One-Time Processing Fee
- $10.00 Per Prescription Quarterly

Cost Example:

A new customer with 8 prescriptions and 4 of them are covered under the Patient Advocacy Program. The new customer would pay a one-time $25 processing fee and then $40 per quarter for the 4 medications covered under patient advocacy. Every quarter, the patient will be billed $40 ($10 per medication).

The remaining 4 medications would then be quoted to the patient from our discount pharmacy program. The discount pharmacy has no fees and no shipping or handling costs, and is usually shipped same or next business day directly to your home or business address.

So what are the fees for?

  • One phone call to APA handles all patient assistance questions related to over 140 manufacturers and over 2,500 medicines.
  • APA pre qualifies and assists in application preparation.
  • A review of all needed medications and those in the advocacy program paperwork prepared; those outside of the advocacy program are quoted from APA's discount pharmacy.
  • Paperwork submitted to physician for signature.
  • Paperwork submitted to manufacturers for processing.
  • Should the need arise, follow up appeals for those medications denied the first time by the manufacturer.
  • Follow up on all paths along the way, including your physician and the pharmaceutical manufacturers.
  • Monitoring your receipt of medications and automatic notification and reordering on appropriate time frames.
  • Notification in advance related to the ending date of your annual program and assistance with the reapplication process should the need exist.
  • Available to answer any questions and work on your behalf for any needs required.

This process is very involved and can sometimes take 6 to 8 weeks from the time you pre-qualify to the time you receive your medication.
